“Do not despise small beginnings” -Zechariah 4:10

A few weeks ago, I (Adisyn) was at home in Austin, TX when I came across this mess of a coaster on my dad’s desk. Suddenly I was transported back to a moment sitting on my apartment floor in a foreign country three years ago. I was dreaming about starting a company that would provide employment to women in need, and brainstorming ideas for what products we could make. I loved the idea of incorporating ancient knotting traditions into modern applications, so I made this coaster out of a piece of scrap rope. Knowing it was terrible, I (naturally) gave it to my father who I knew would support my dreams despite their small beginnings. What I didn’t know was that he’d keep it for years as a symbol of how far I've come.

Today I sit in an office of an 18-month-old company with five incredible women who make beautiful products and teach me daily what it means to pursue your dreams despite your difficulties. By many accounts we’re still very small. But we’re sustainably, slowly but surely, building a company and a community where women are valued, encouraged, strengthened, and FREE.

The road of dreams is long and messy, friends. For us it's been longer and messier than we had ever imagined. But more beautiful and full of life and WORTH IT at the same time. What dreams to you have in the pipeline? We'd love to hear about them below!!
